Go and support the following artist.

At 10k subs, I will be doing a Art Commision giveaway for subscribers. The winner will get a special piece of art commissioned for them by ANY of the artist who have allowed me to showcase their work. So make sure you go support as many of them as you can and you could win a special piece just for you.

In the video i earned around 714,000 XP in about 12 minutes. It could have easily been around 1 Million if I had let the normal hands spawn more enemies until they couldn’t spawn anymore. Also at higher levels you can summon King Metal Slimes and 2 Liquid Slimes, which would’ve given way more XP than the 2 normal Metal Slimes and 1 Liquid Slime i had.

XP Farming in Dragon Quest XI

Basic XP notes:
Metal enemies give more XP

Haulellujah (Pep Power) increases XP, Gold, and Battle Rewards

Electro Light spawns Metal Slimes or Robots. Slimes will vary depending on level. Lower levels will usually spawn regular Metal slimes, while being in the higher levels will spawn Liquid Metal Slimes and King Metal Slimes.

Defeating more enemies under the effect of Haulellujah will increase the XP at the end of battle.

Since this is Endgame grinding, I will assume you have all characters and decent skills from the Skills chart.

What you want to do is find a Metal Hand encounter. The Metal Hands tend to spawn more often than the Metal Slimes. The higher the XP of the base encounter, the higher the XP you will gain after using Haulellujah. Metal Hands can spawn other Metal Hands, they can cast instant death on you, run away, or attack normally. If you kill the Metal Hand(s), use that encounter to boost your XP gainz to the max.

Most Metal Hands spawn with a normal Hand monster. You want to kill the Metal Hand and they leave the normal one alive. The normal one can call for backup (up to 25 times or until the Alphabetical value reaches Z). Once you kill the Metal Hand, you want to use Haulellujah. You can come into the battle with Haulellujah ready to use. For the video, I just defended and keep the enemy count usually between 2-5 hands until everyone was ready. After using Haulellujah, you want to use Electro Light. You can wait until you have defeated Hand Y (leave one of them alive) to use Electro Light to maximize the XP you get.

After using Haulellujah, Jade will have to regain her Pep. The Main Hero can regain his Pep at anytime with a skill. It’s best to have Sylvando in the back already pepped. If not, you can bring him out and defend until you have all 3 of them pepped. There is an item that can instantly Pep up a party member, but I didn’t have one at the current time of recording. Electro Light can spawn Metal Slimes or Robots. Metal Slimes will significantly increase the XP you earn, as you have already boosted it with Haulellujah. Robots will still give XP, just not as good.

The easiest way to defeat Metal enemies is by hitting them with critical hits. Erik has a guranteed critical hit skill, and a few othe characters have skills that have a higher crit chance. Some skills only have 2 outcome such as Thunder Thrust. Thunder Thrust either crits, or misses. Metal Slime and Liquid Metal weapons are another way to deal damage to them.

QUICK STEP BY STEP GUIDE

-Find a Metal Hand encounter.
-Kill Metal Hand
-Let normal Hand spawn other Hands.
-Use Haulellujah.
-Kill all Hands except for 1 (Hand Z)
-Use Electro Light
-Kill Metal Slimes.
-Profit

Make sure to go support the artist in the description, and to subscribe for more Dragon Quest XI.
Read the description to see how I earned 714,000xp and a more detailed guide on how to set this up.

Also do tell me how I spoiled part of the game for you even though I specified "Post Game"
That's like a cop telling you to not enter a building due to it being a danger zone, and then you getting upset because you enter the building and find out there is a shooter inside. If you can't use context clues to tell what is going to be in the video, it's on you.
Enjoy!!!

This reminds me of something I used to do in DQ3 called "goopi brawling." I would get into a battle with goopis (which is what the bloody hands were called back then), let them summon help, kill all the help, wait for them to summon more, then repeat for a few hours. Would get from level 35 to 50 doing this.

Fun fact : this method doesn't work if you have the draconian quest that makes enemys with a level too low compare to you give 0 xp

If you all really want to make the pre game (I guess that's what you call it) easier or if you hate grinding then as soon as Sylvando, Jade, and Erik rejoin your party in act 2 you'll instantly be able to use electro light and hallelujah.

Bonus tip if you're playing on switch you can get 5 free pep pops from the Nintendo eshop which makes waiting more bearable.

Thank u for the video I did that abd got 950k pf XP I got proofs. I almost didnt believed when I saw that number.

One tip: before calling Electro Light put a Peped up Rab on the team, then use Silvando to accelerate Rab agility only then use Electro Light. So when the monsters appears u can use Rab 3rd pep power that put metal monsters to sleep. So they dont flee away

Super frustrating when you spend forever waiting for pep to use hallelujah, then pep again to use electro light, only to have the king metal slime and liquid metal slimes all run. King runs almost every time!

Now you just need to pray to RNGsus that:
1- The slimes don't first and run away
2-run into those fucking stupid ass robots (which was my situation the last 5 fucking times).

And please dont say that you use "pep pip". Bcs it'll make this even bullshit, bcs its so hard to get a single pep pip, a lot people ask how it seems u pep them up manually, bcs i think u use a very rare and expensive item like "pep pip". Believe me people its hard to get pep pip

Its not the best way, you can try how long it'll take to make them pep again, it takes about 10-15 minutes, so basically single fight can be around 20 mnts.
Guess what? Just do story mission until you go to drustan maze, especially 3rd maze (luminary trial) where u can fight metal king slime easily without electrolight.

I've tried this method and sorry its full of bullshit, u're so lucky that all of them not escape. I ever encounter 3 metal slime and 1 metal hand and guess what? Only 1 metal slime that not run away.
